When it comes to shopping for petite clothes, it may feel like your options are limited. But, I have good news! There are several stores that offer petite sizes, but the challenge is finding those stores. Especially since a lot of them aren’t at your local mall, requiring you to somehow discover them online.
It has taken me a lot of research to find stores that sell petite clothes. I got sick of the redundant results when I would google things like, “where to buy petite clothes for women.” While I would get a ton of results from several different sources (thank you, Internet), they would always provide the same information on a few of the well-known petite stores/brands that I’ve been shopping at for years. While helpful, I was instead hoping to discover some new, less common petite brands. Petites shouldn’t have to settle for shopping at only a handful of stores in order to find clothes that fit well.
I wanted to have several options when it came to shopping for petite clothes. The reason being, some stores have a very limited petite collection and rarely offer new, inspired styles. Instead, they offer a small collection of petite essentials that they’re able to sell year-round. This is great, but sometimes you need more than just the essentials- like a formal dress or other rare occasion styles.
Some stores only sell petite activewear, while others only sell petite workwear. Some stores only have petite sizes available online, which can be frustrating when you’re in a pinch and don’t have time to wait for the clothes to be delivered. Needless to say, these are just some of the reasons why I was determined to discover as many petite stores as possible to make shopping as a petite a little easier.
I dug deep to find lesser-known stores that offer petite-sized or petite-friendly clothes in an attempt to make shopping as a petite more efficient and enjoyable. Knowing of a variety of brands that offer petite sized clothing is helpful in building a complete wardrobe that you can feel good about. Explore my comprehensive list of lesser-known petite brands below, and hopefully, you’ll discover some new petite-friendly places to shop.
Love, Bonito
Love, Bonito doesn’t specifically offer petite sizes, but their styles are very petite-friendly. Their website has over 5,000 items to choose from, include a ton of great workwear. They provide so much detail for every style, so it’s extremely easy to determine whether something will fit.
Each style lists whether or not the item is lined, its level of sheerness, if it has pockets, garment measurements in both inches and centimeters, fabric, and care. The clothing measurements include the length, bust, and waist measurements for every size (not just for one size), and they’re provided in inches and centimeters. If every clothing brand provided this level of detail and transparency, shopping as a petite would be much easier!
Gilt
Gilt is an online retailer that sells designer pieces at discounted prices. You can browse their entire collection or explore their featured, short-term sales. They offer inspired finds for women, men, kids, and home, along with luxury travel and unique experiences.
To view their collection of petite styles, filter by size and select petite. They add new styles frequently, so visit their site often to discover new pieces.
Hobbs London
Hobbs London is a British womenswear brand that focuses on offering contemporary, yet timeless pieces that will always be in style. Rapidly evolving fashion trends are hard to keep up with, not to mention expensive. Hobbs London avoids adopting short-lived fashion trends, so you can confidently shop their store knowing that anything you purchase will remain relevant and be something you’ll be able to wear for years to come. They have a pretty extensive petite collection including dresses, jackets, coats, tops, trousers, skirts, occasionwear, and workwear.

ThredUp is a massive online thrift store that has several thousands of petite pieces available. You can shop by the following specialty sizes: Plus, Maternity, Juniors, Petite, and Tall. They provide measurements for each garment, so even if you’re not shopping their petite collection specifically, you can still get a good understanding of whether the piece will fit your body type based on the measurements.
I shop their online store frequently as they have a huge collection, and their prices are extremely hard to beat. There are several filtering options which make it super easy to find what you’re looking for, including a “condition” filter (new with tags, like new, gently used, and signs of wear). If you’re open to the idea of buying gently used clothes, ThredUp is a great place to shop!
